Job Scope

To support the delivery of the application, selection and awarding process for defined research funding calls, in accordance with agreed standards. To support post-award management as required.

 

The postholder will provide essential administrative support to the Grants team, supporting the team with the smooth delivery of grant management.

 

Please note that we are unable to offer sponsorship for this role.

Salary: £32,288 pa

Location: Carlton House Terrace, London, SW1Y 5AG plus the option for some hybrid remote working

Responsibilities

Provide day-to-day administrative support to the team in the processing of grant applications and managing of awards.

· Support the management of enquiries from applicants and award holders.

· Support the assessment process, including assigning and following up with panel assessors and peer reviewers, as required.

· Support the preparation of meeting documents

· Support the preparation of award offers and set-up of awards.

· Support the monitoring of progress of individual grants and managing of individual case work, in particular helping to administer change requests, as required.

· Ensure accurate record keeping and data collection/retention.

· Work collaboratively with others to support continuous ongoing improvement and implementation of good practice, including contributing to review of documentation, procedures and processes and scheme development/evaluation to ensure provision is relevant for the science community and is delivered efficiently and effectively.

· Role model desired behaviours in line with the RS Grants Team Charter.

· Share experience and ideas with others in the Grants Section and the Society and contribute broadly to the Royal Society’s mission and priorities.
